The Program Head - Electrical Line Worker provides excellent learning experiences, facilitates the learning process, seeks, and provides professional development opportunities, contributes to the development of courses/programs, and interacts with community/industry members. Coursework includes Safe Line Truck Operations, Pole Climbing Safety, Line Construction, Single Phase to Three Phase Conversion, Transformer Installation and Service, and other related topics. Will also recommend changes to the curriculum and keep outdoor lab site in safe condition.Program Details: Pre-Line Worker Training Program. Purpose of the program is to provide basic technical knowledge and safety training for students interested in working in the electrical utility industry with the goal to become a journeyman line worker. Consists of (3) 12 week sessions annually (36 weeks in session, the remaining weeks will be for prep work) 12-20 Students per Session QualificationsREQUIRED: Technical/Professional training beyond high school in the field of electrical line worker apprenticeship program. 5 years of experience in the Electrical Line Worker field PREFERRED: Prior teaching/technical instructor experience Essential Job Functions: Teach program material via seated and online classrooms as required by the schedule.Learn new material to keep up with changing technology.Facilitate regular and substantive interaction via proactive communication with students.
