As a member of our Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff while helping ensure the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members.M10: Breast & GYN Medical OncologyM10 is a 43-bedGYNmedical oncology unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. The unit primarily cares for women with breast and gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, cervical, and vulvar cancers. The patient population ranges from post-operative recovery to end-of-life care, requiring both acute clinical skills and compassionate support.Role Overview:Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient mannerHandle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalismResponsible for taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting specimensCollaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures as neededUse basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentationKey Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience in one or more of the following roles:Nursing Assistant (NA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)ORIf less than 2 years of experience:A Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months, ANDAt least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in one of the roles listed aboveBLS certification required by time of hireEpic EMR experience preferredCore Skills:Excited to work as part of a care-giving, patient-centered team, with the ability to build positive relationships and deliver patient-focused careA proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and approaches challenges with urgency, energy, and compassionAdept at collaboration and partnership-building to achieve shared goals and objectivesA thoughtful decision-maker with demonstrated ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environmentAdditional InformationLocation:1275 York Avenue, New York, NYSchedule:Nights 7:30pm-8am; Monday through Friday, weekend and holiday rotationHelpful Links :MSK Compensation PhilosophyReview Our Greats Benefits OfferingsPay Range: $24.05 - $36.21FSLA Status: Non-ExemptClosing:At MSK, we believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects your job, experience, and skills.MSK is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
