Finance Leader-Revenue Accounting

This individual will be based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office. The Finance Leader will perform operational, transactional and technical accounting activities in accordance with established policy, procedures, and objectives. Responsible for adherence to quality control standards – both corporate and industry directed.How You Will Contribute: Create and post assigned monthly/quarterly 606 revenue recognition adjustment journal entries. Assist with approving 606 revenue recognition adjustment journal entriesAnalyze revenue and adjustments to identify underlying activity drivers Assist in interpreting codification to ensure compliance with ASC 606. Assist with developing budgeting methodology and execution for 606 revenue adjustments. Assist with the analysis and integration of revenue for future acquisitions. Assist with reviewing new revenue streams and determining appropriate treatment as neededAnalyze monthly and quarterly revenue adjustments to confirm reasonableness Assist with various projects to improve revenue recognition processes. Review fee contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition Work with leadership to determine requirements for future technological enhancements Work with Operational Finance Leaders and provide guidance on appropriate revenue recognition Become subject matter expert in ASC 606 revenue recognition and related B&B processes and guidelines. Reconcile balance sheet and other accounts monthly and as needed Ensure all support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely Prepare submission of documents as required by established controls (Archer CSAs)Effectively communicate financial results with Sr. Regional Finance LeaderBuild courteous and successful relationships with various office staff to maintain efficient practices.Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.Other duties as assignedSkills & Experience to be Successful:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldProficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel7+ years full accounting experience 3+ years’ experience applying ASC 606 principals PreferredInsurance industry experience CPA
