This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, coordinating field activities, and taking ownership of project execution from the ground level. This individual will coordinate daily field activities, direct crews, communicate with utility representatives, maintain schedules, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Foreman will work closely with utility construction representatives to coordinate outages and clearances and will partner with our Operations Manager, who provides support regarding project schedules, expectations, and execution goals. Successful candidates are strong leaders who can motivate crews, solve problems in the field, and maintain high standards for quality and safety.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise field crews on substation construction projectsPlan and coordinate daily work activities and manpower needsAssign tasks and ensure crews understand project priorities and expectationsCoordinate with utility construction representatives regarding outages, switching schedules, and site access/clearancesMonitor project progress and maintain productivity goalsHelp ensure work is completed on time and within budgetWork closely with Operations Manager regarding schedules, project timelines, and deliverablesRead and interpret construction drawings, prints, specifications, and electrical schematicsLead installation activities involving:Conduit systemsGrounding systemsCable tray installationControl cable installation and terminationsEquipment setting and assemblySwitches, breakers, panels, and substation equipmentStructural steel and electrical assembliesTroubleshoot and resolve field issues as they ariseConduct and participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with company and utility safety requirementsMaintain quality workmanship and enforce safe work practicesTrack field progress and communicate updates effectivelyQualificationsPrior experience leading substation construction crews as a Foreman, Lead Technician, Crew Lead, or similar supervisory roleClean driving background if driving company vehiclesStrong background in electrical substation construction – leading crews and working under clearancesExperience with utility, transmission, or power delivery projects preferredExperience working in both greenfield and brownfield substations preferredAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction documentsFamiliarity with substation construction practices, equipment installation, and electrical systemsStrong communication and leadership skillsCommitment to safety is #1Preferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is a plus:Foundations, conduit, and grounding systems (FCG)Bus work installationControl wiring and terminationsEquipment setting and assemblyRelay/control systemsUtility coordination and outage planningSwitchyards and transmission projectsClass A CDL preferredAbility to pass background/drug screeningOSHA 10/30 preferredMinimum years of substation experience (ex: 5+ or 7+ years)Apply TodayIf you're looking for an opportunity to take ownership of projects, lead strong crews, and play a key role in building critical utility infrastructure throughout South Florida, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today!J-18808-Ljbffr
