Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nInstall, configure, maintain, and support IBM CICS Transaction Server environments on z/OS.\nPerform CICS system programming activities including upgrades, patches, maintenance, and migrations.\nMonitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning for CICS regions.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex CICS, z/OS, VTAM, TCP/IP, and middleware-related issues.\nSupport high-availability and disaster recovery initiatives for mainframe systems.\nConfigure and maintain CICS resources including transactions, programs, files, queues, journals, and security definitions.\nWork closely with application development, infrastructure, storage, DB2, MQ, and operations teams.\nImplement automation and operational improvements using REXX, JCL, and scripting tools.\nParticipate in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.\nEnsure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and change management processes.\nSupport performance tuning and optimization of CICS workloads.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and recovery plans.\nKey Requirements and Technology Experience:\n6 years of experience in Mainframe Systems Programming.\nStrong hands-on experience with IBM CICS Transaction Server on z/OS.\nExpertise in z/OS system administration and mainframe infrastructure support.\nStrong knowledge of:\nCICS TS\nz/OS\nJCL\nSMP/E\nVTAM\nTCP/IP\nRACF\nJES2/JES3\nDFSMS\nExperience with CICS performance tuning and debugging.\nKnowledge of IBM utilities, dump analysis, and system diagnostics.\nExperience with automation tools and scripting (REXX preferred).\nStrong understanding of disaster recovery and high-availability concepts.\nAbility to support 24x7 production environments and participate in on-call rotations.\nExperience with IBM MQ, DB2, IMS, or WebSphere integration.\nExposure to enterprise monitoring tools and automation frameworks.\nExperience in large banking, insurance, healthcare, or financial services environments.\nIBM Mainframe certifications are a plus.\nKnowledge of DevOps practices in mainframe modernization initiatives is preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.\nOur client is a leading IT Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
