The candidate will play a key role in frontend architecture, technical decision-making, and mentoring junior engineers.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the design, architecture, and development of large-scale frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).\nArchitect and implement edge-based frontend solutions leveraging Cloudflare Workers, Pages, CDN, caching, and security services.\nDrive frontend performance optimization using edge caching strategies, routing rules, and distributed computing patterns.\nPartner with backend, security, and DevOps teams to define end-to-end architecture and deployment strategies.\nImplement and enforce frontend security best practices, including secure authentication flows, rate limiting, and protection against XSS, CSRF, and DDoS attacks.\nProvide technical leadership through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring of junior and mid-level developers.\nTroubleshoot complex frontend and edge-related issues using Cloudflare analytics, logs, and observability tools.\nContribute to roadmap planning, estimation, and continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\n8+ years of experience in Frontend Development, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead role.\nExpert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.\nStrong hands-on experience with Cloudflare, including:\nCloudflare Workers and edge functions\nCloudflare Pages for frontend hosting\nCDN configuration, caching strategies, and performance tuning\nCloudflare security features (WAF, rate limiting, bot management basics)\nAdvanced experience with React and component-driven architecture.\nStrong understanding of frontend performance, browser internals, and networking fundamentals.\nExperience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.\nProficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience designing or migrating applications to edge-first or serverless architectures.\nStrong working knowledge of TypeScript.\nExperience with modern tooling (Vite, Webpack, Rollup, ESLint).\nFamiliarity with observability, monitoring, and logging for frontend and edge workloads.\nPrior experience in regulated or high-availability production environments.\n\nThe pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.98/hour - $57.79/hour.
