The major responsibility of CTT leads is to facilitate effective teacher groups that are responsible for ensuring that all students are mastering the essential curriculum and that students are being appropriately challenged.QualificationsHold a valid teaching license with a minimum of three years of teachingEmployed in the district a minimum of one yearHas evidence of continued professional growth, experiences collaborating with colleagues, involvement in leadership opportunities, and evidence of working with adults.Has demonstrated organizational skills.Roles And ResponsibilitiesTeach full-timeAssist Collaborative Teaching Teams (CTTs) in developing and adhering to norms, professional courtesies, and rolesDevelop agendas for CTT meetingsModel the effective use of data to make sound classroom instructional decisions and assure it is ready for teams to examineFacilitate CTTs through the process of answering the four questions:What do we expect our students to learn?How will we know?How will we respond if they didn't learn?How will we respond if they already know it?Through collaboration with instructional coach, select research-based instructional strategies to address student learning needsCommunicate effectively with adult learners and establish positive relationshipsMaintain confidentiality of students, teachers, and schoolsModel to other teachers how to realize the district mission, vision, and desired stateReceive ongoing training including:Professional Learning CommunitiesWorking with Adult LearnersEffective Instructional StrategiesProfessional Teaching StandardsTerms Of EmploymentNot to exceed 3 additional days for training plus additional meetings outside of contract hoursA teacher who completes the time period of the 1-year teacher leader assignment may apply to retain the role or apply for reassignment to a new leadership roleStipend: $1000 annually (to be paid June 15)Position paid from Teacher Leadership and Compensation funding and is dependent upon receipt of state TLC fundingPROCESS FOR APPLICATIONInterested applicants should submit a letter of interest to the Curriculum Director and building administrator and apply online.
