Other duties may be assigned.\n\nCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.\nUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyer to rectify damages and shortages.\nUnloads delivery trucks and disassembles crates or containers of goods received.\nPerforms visual inspections on all items received.\nMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.\nRotates stock, check for outdated materials.\nOptimize warehouse space for organization, utilization and protection of materials.\nUpdates business system via computer data entry with receipts and returns.\nUpon receipt of goods processes paperwork in a timely manner.\nNotifies buyer in a timely manner of any deficiencies concerning receipts of goods or qualify of goods.\nEfficient in recognizing problems and creative in resolving problems.\nKeeps Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager apprised of the status of received parts.\nPerforms cycle counts and randomly checks stock levels.\nAssists in physical inventory count as required.\nUses appropriate safety devices where necessary.\nKeeps work area free of debris.\nOperates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage or work area.\nMaintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.\nAssists as needed with stock room activities.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
