We're not wasting your time.What You Do Get:Structured development programs (Interplay Learning, hands-on coaching, field check-ins)Certification supportRegular ride-alongs for growthExposure to a wide range of systems (furnaces, AC, geothermal, heat pumps, boilers, RTUs)Collaboration across service, dispatch, and install, plus opportunities to teach, mentor, and shape department standardsMany insurance optionsPaid time off (PTO)Paid holidaysRetirement planCell phone or stipendVehicle and fuelBonusesWHAT YOU'LL DO AS AN HVAC TECHNICAL ADVISOR: You begin by syncing with dispatch and confirming seasonal inventory forecasts, then you're in motion-fielding a tech's call to interpret diagnostic data, riding along to coach on communication before work begins, stepping into an escalated job to resolve complex issues and guide repair versus replacement, and ensuring payment follows company procedures; you host an in-house mini-seminar, update training plans in Interplay Learning, collaborate with install on technical recommendations, review callbacks with management to prevent recurrences, keep vehicles and tools inspection-ready, maintain safety and code compliance, and nurture relationships with local trade schools to support recruiting-all while documenting hours and materials before leaving each site and staying in tight contact with the office for next-job dispatch. What You'll Need To Be Our HVAC Technical Advisor:State of Iowa HVAC LicenseValid driver's licenseMeets criteria of Level 4+ technician (NATE certification preferred)3+ years in customer service or management within a service industry (or equivalent education/experience)Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprintsBroad HVAC troubleshooting across furnaces, AC, geothermal, heat pumps, boilers, and rooftop unitsAbility to safely operate scissors and genie liftsKnowledge of basic sheet metal practicesUnderstanding of air balancing principles and techniquesExperience making repair and replacement decisionsStrong computer skills; highly organizedAdvanced customer service and communication skillsDemonstrated leadership and accountabilityHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar service management softwareResides within 30 miles of our location Preferred qualifications: NATE certification and comfort implementing tools like MeasureQuick STILL READING?
