Quoter
We are seeking an experienced Quoter to oversee the full quotation process from initial request through proposal delivery. This role is responsible for developing accurate, timely, and competitive quotes by collaborating with internal teams, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring all technical and financial aspects are aligned to support successful project awards.
Pay: $28/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Quotation Development & Management
Oversee the entire quoting process to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of proposals
Develop detailed and comprehensive quotation packages that account for feasibility, technical requirements, financial considerations, and project planning interfaces
Prepare and issue price requests to suppliers and subcontractors
Calculate total project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and other required resources
Develop preliminary work schedules to support project planning and proposal accuracy
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the quoting phase
Respond promptly to client questions, clarifications, and pricing or scope concerns
Support negotiations related to pricing, scope, and delivery
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with project managers, technical teams, buyers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure quote accuracy and alignment
Coordinate smooth handover of awarded project files to project management teams
Vendor Management
Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and special-order items
Work with vendors to obtain special pricing, availability commitments, and optimized delivery schedules
Process Improvement & Data Management
Contribute to the development and improvement of quoting processes, tools, and procedures
Ensure accuracy and completeness of project data within internal databases and systems
Maintain organized records of quotations, RFQs, vendor pricing, and related documentation
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience in quoting, estimating, or proposal development
Strong understanding of cost analysis, pricing strategies, and project scope evaluation
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency with ERP, CRM, or quoting systems preferred
