The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job SummaryThe Instructional Aide supports teachers in providing effective instruction and a positive, faith-filled learning environment for students. The aide assists with academic support, classroom management, preparation of instructional materials, and supervision of students while promoting the mission and values of Catholic education.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist teachers with classroom instruction and daily educational activitiesWork with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and learning objectivesSupport students with assignments, reading, math, technology, and other instructional tasksHelp prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and learning resourcesMaintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environmentAssist with classroom management and reinforce behavioral expectations consistent with school policies and Catholic valuesSupervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, and other assigned dutiesMonitor student progress and communicate observations to the teacherAssist with clerical tasks including copying, filing, grading preparation, and attendance recordsSupport students’ social, emotional, and spiritual growthParticipate in school activities, liturgies, and events as assignedMaintain confidentiality regarding student records and school informationSupport and uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic educationJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework preferredExperience working with children in an educational setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and familiesBasic computer and instructional technology skillsDependable, organized, and flexibleSuccessful completion of background check and Safe Environment trainingThe Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
