Company DescriptionLaughlin Insurance was established in 1997 by Paris Laughlin.  Our office is located in Northeast Portland Oregon in the Gateway area.  We offer many carriers and programs for health insurance, Medicare, life insurance, disability income protection plans, dental plans, Compliance & Administrative services, and more. We help employers, human resources representatives, benefit managers, employees, Medicare beneficiaries, and individual consumers. We also offer tax credit qualified employer and individual health plans, and can help you check for the tax credits that can help pay premiums.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Marketplace & Medicare Independent Agent located in Portland, OR. The Independent Agent will assist clients in exploring, selecting, and enrolling in Marketplace and Medicare insurance plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting policy reviews, maintaining client records, providing expert advice on insurance products, and staying informed of policy changes and updates in the health insurance industry. The agent will also develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.QualificationsStrong knowledge and experience in Marketplace and Medicare insurance plansProficiency in client communication, customer service, and maintaining client relationshipsExcellent organizational and record-keeping skillsAbility to stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trendsValid health insurance license or willingness to obtain one promptlyProficient in using insurance software and toolsProven ability to work independently with minimal supervisionSales experience in the insurance sector is a plus
