{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"2b215314082daba9fcd4928e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2b215314082daba9fcd4928e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2b215314082daba9fcd4928e","title":"Corporate Controller","description":"The client, one of the largest and most acclaimed certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the Southeast, has an opportunity for a Controller to join our team.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nManaging the preparation and review process of complex financial statements in a timely and efficient manner.\nResolving complicated accounting issues while handling client matters within the CAAS Department and updating Shareholders/Principals as appropriate.\nPreparing review notes, coaching/training staff, and setting clear performance expectations for team members.\nHolding weekly client telephone meetings with specific “A” clients relating to special projects and/or “open items” lists.\nCompiling internal client analysis report preparation for the Principal.\nReviewing management report packages that are prepared by the Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant.\nActively participating in firm industry niche meetings and marketing activities.\nActing as a business advisor to current and prospective clients.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)\nCPA or higher-level degree (such as MBA, master’s in accounting, Juris Doctor degree, etc.) (required)\nMinimum 10 years experience in a corporate accounting department or public accounting firm.\nStrong technical knowledge.\nDemonstrated ability to manage budgets and billing centres.\nThe Fun Stuff\nWork isn’t all work!
