About The PositionFort Bend County Water Control & Improvement District No. 2, TexasAssistant General ManagerThe Assistant General Manager is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Fort Bend County WCID No. 2, ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient water and wastewater services. Reporting to the General Manager, this role drives operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and strategic planning across the District.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a seasoned utility operations leader with extensive experience in managing complex water and wastewater systems within a public-sector environment. They bring strong operational expertise, a firm grasp of regulatory frameworks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to the community.This individual thrives in both strategic and hands-on roles—someone equally comfortable shaping long-range plans and diving into operational challenges. They excel at building trust with staff, the General Manager, and the Board while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.A natural collaborator and communicator, the ideal candidate effectively represents the District with regulators, partner agencies, and community stakeholders.
