We are looking for a Systems Engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, working directly with clients, and continuously learning new technologies.\nIf you're the engineer everyone calls when things get complicated, you'll fit in well here.\nAbout the Role\nThis is not an internal IT position.\nYou'll support multiple client environments across a wide variety of industries, designing, implementing, and supporting modern Microsoft, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity solutions.\nThis position is approximately:\n2–3 days working from our Long Beach office\n2–3 days visiting client locations throughout Southern California\nCandidates must currently live within approximately 30 minutes of Long Beach, CA.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs one of our engineers, you'll serve as a technical lead responsible for both reactive support and proactive engineering.\nResponsibilities include:\nDesign, implement and support Microsoft 365 environments\nAdminister Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive\nDeploy and manage Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender\nConfigure Microsoft Purview policies and data protection solutions\nDesign and administer Windows Server environments\nActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP administration\nDeploy and support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms\nConfigure and troubleshoot business-class networking equipment including:\nFortinet\nMeraki\nUbiquiti\nSonicWall\nConfigure VPNs, VLANs, switching and wireless infrastructure\nLead server migrations, Microsoft 365 migrations and infrastructure upgrades\nSupport backup and disaster recovery solutions\nTroubleshoot complex performance, networking and security issues\nUtilize RMM and PSA platforms to manage client environments\nDevelop PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency\nCreate accurate technical documentation\nMentor junior engineers\nParticipate in after-hours maintenance windows as required\nCybersecurity Experience\nCybersecurity is a core part of every client engagement.\nYou should have experience working with technologies such as:\nMicrosoft Defender for Business / Defender for Endpoint\nHuntress\nSentinelOne\nMDR/XDR platforms\nEmail security solutions\nMulti-factor authentication\nConditional Access\nVulnerability remediation\nSecurity awareness best practices\nBasic incident response\nExperience with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms is a plus.\nRequired Qualifications\nWe are looking for someone with:\n5+ years of Systems Engineering experience\n3+ years working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT consulting firm\nStrong Microsoft 365 administration experience\nDeep knowledge of:\nWindows Server\nActive Directory\nMicrosoft Entra ID\nIntune\nMicrosoft Defender\nMicrosoft Purview\nStrong networking knowledge\nVMware and/or Hyper-V administration\nExperience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS\nStrong troubleshooting skills\nExcellent written documentation skills\nExcellent customer communication skills\nValid driver's license\nReliable transportation\nPreferred Qualifications\nMicrosoft certifications\nFortinet NSE / FCA\nMeraki certifications\nVMware certifications\nCompTIA Security+\nAzure certifications\nPowerShell scripting\nExperience with:\nNinjaOne\nAutotask PSA\nHuntress\nMicrosoft 365 Lighthouse\nCIPP\nAuvik\nVeeam\nWho You Are\nThe right person for this role is:\nPersonable and enjoys working directly with clients\nCalm under pressure\nA strong troubleshooter\nNaturally curious\nOrganized\nA team player\nSelf-motivated\nProfessional in appearance and communication\nComfortable leading technical conversations\nSomeone who owns problems until they're solved\nWhy Join TNS?\nYou'll work with modern technologies in environments that are constantly evolving.\nNo two days are the same.\nYou'll have the opportunity to:\nWork with a talented engineering team\nLead challenging infrastructure projects\nExpand your cloud and cybersecurity skills\nBuild long-term relationships with clients\nInfluence standards and best practices across the company\nGrow into Technical Lead or Solutions Architect roles\nBenefits\nCompetitive Salary\n401(k)\nHealth Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nCertification reimbursement\nCompany-provided laptop and tools\nWhy This Position Is Different\nWe don't measure success by how many tickets you close.\nWe measure success by how well you solve problems, improve client environments, and help our team succeed.\nIf you're looking for a place where your technical expertise is valued and your work has a direct impact on our clients' success, we'd love to meet you.\nPay: $100,000.00 -
