The overall objective of this role is to contribute significantly to applications systems analysis, frontend architecture design , and programming activities, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nLead feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology assessments, and frontend solution architecture design for new or revised ReactJS applications .\r\nDesign, develop, and implement highly responsive and scalable user interface components and pages, leveraging modern frontend technologies including Micro-FrontEnd architecture, ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern styling solutions (e.g., modern CSS frameworks, styling libraries), while upholding rigorous best practices and coding standards.\r\nMonitor and control all phases of the frontend development lifecycle , including analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment, providing user and operational support on applications to business users.\r\nUtilize in-depth specialty knowledge of modern frontend development frameworks, particularly ReactJS, to analyze complex UI/UX problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgment.\r\nLeverage modern development tools, including AI-powered assistants (GenAI/LLMs), to accelerate development cycles, improve code quality, and foster innovation.\r\nEnsure optimal application performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.\r\nRecommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality, with a focus on frontend security best practices .\r\nConsult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced frontend programming solutions , and install and assist customer exposure systems.\r\nEnsure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes for frontend development .\r\nServe as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, mentoring junior frontend developers .\r\nHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.\r\nCan exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.\r\nActs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.\r\nAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.\r\nRecommended Qualifications\r\n8+ years of relevant experience in software development, with a strong focus on frontend technologies.\r\nPossess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing sophisticated applications with ReactJS, demonstrating proficiency across its comprehensive ecosystem, including React state management libraries, data fetching and networking libraries, and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite). Experience with various testing methodologies, including unit testing (e.g., Jest, Vitest) and end-to-end testing, is also essential.\r\nProficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.\r\nExperience with modern frontend build pipelines and tools.\r\nFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.\r\nExperience with or demonstrated interest in using Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for faster development, including code generation, debugging, and documentation.\r\nA strong understanding of diverse technology stacks and architectural strategies, with the ability to critically evaluate and suggest improvements, and adeptness in transitioning to new and evolving technologies as needed.\r\nExperience and/or exposure to the Banking domain, particularly Capital Markets, is highly preferred and would be a significant advantage.\r\nExperience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.\r\nExperience in managing and implementing successful projects, preferably using Agile methodologies.\r\nWorking knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods.\r\nAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.\r\nExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git).\r\nUnderstanding of UI/UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with design teams.\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\r\nThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
