This role is well suited for a collaborative developer who can contribute across the application stack and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nDevelop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React.js, Material UI (MUI), HTML5, and CSS3.\nBuild reusable, modular, and testable frontend components.\nDevelop and maintain backend services and application components using Python.\nBuild and support RESTful APIs and service layers that connect frontend applications with backend systems and relational databases.\nIntegrate APIs and manage asynchronous data within React applications.\nImplement effective state management using Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar technologies.\nOptimize frontend performance using techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, throttling, and debouncing.\nHelp develop real-time dashboards using WebSocket, Socket.io, rxStomp, Server-Sent Events, or similar technologies.\nWork with charting and visualization libraries such as SciChart, Highcharts, or D3.js.\nSupport geospatial data visualization using MapBox when required.\nWrite and optimize SQL queries that support application functionality and business workflows.\nTroubleshoot frontend, backend, API, database, and application performance issues.\nWrite automated tests using Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library, or similar tools.\nParticipate in peer code reviews and follow established development and architecture standards.\nCollaborate with developers, business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.\nMaintain clear technical documentation and contribute to a reliable, high-quality codebase.\n\nWhat You Bring:\n\n3+ years of professional software development experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript, including ES6+.\nProfessional experience developing backend services or applications using Python.\nExperience with Material UI (MUI), HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development tools.\nExperience with state management solutions such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.\nExperience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.\nExperience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2.\nSolid SQL skills, including queries, joins, data access, and basic performance optimization.\nUnderstanding of frontend and backend application architecture.\nExperience handling asynchronous data and integrating frontend applications with backend services.\nFamiliarity with unit, integration, or end-to-end testing.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nStrong communication skills and attention to detail.\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):\n\nExperience with WebSocket, Socket.io, rxStomp, or Server-Sent Events.\nExperience with SciChart, Highcharts, D3.js, or similar visualization libraries.\nExperience with MapBox or other geospatial visualization tools.\nFamiliarity with data aggregation and downsampling techniques.\nFamiliarity with WebGL and high-performance rendering.\nExperience with Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, or deployment pipelines.\nExperience supporting production applications.\nExperience working in an Agile software development environment.\n\nWhat You’ll Gain:\n\nFull-time position in a quickly growing company.\nCompetitive salary with regular reviews.\n401(k) Retirement Plan and comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.\nPaid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.\nIn-house IT training and certifications through WebCreek University.\nFlexible work environment within a diverse, international team.\nWellness programs and exclusive “workcation” opportunities for top performers.\n\nLocation: On-site in Houston, TX.
