This will include identifying key issues and addressing them with the optimal technical solution. The Systems Engineer shall be proficient in the following disciplines and processes: performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.\nSecondary responsibilities will include: Reliability Prediction Analysis, Reliability Allocations, Parts de-Rating and Application, Reliability Block Diagrams and Systems Interfaces, FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Process), Stress Analysis, Reliability Modeling, Design Assurance Analysis, Failure Diagnostics and Data/Trend Analysis, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA). Familiar with requirements of MIL-HDBK-338B Electronic Reliability Design Handbook and Army TM 5-698-4 Failure Mode Effects and Criticality. Position will require application of most or all of these elements.\nQualifications:\nThe successful candidate must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:\nMinimum of 2 years professional technical experience in System and Subsystem Requirements analysis, development, documentation, and validation of integrated systems, Aerospace/Defense systems, or commercial systems.\nEducation Req: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Physics) discipline with 5 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Physics) discipline with 3 years of relevant work experience.\nWorking knowledge in system level development, requirements definition, analysis, and risk mitigation for complex systems used on accredited programs.\nExperience with Verification and Validation requirements.\nExperience supporting new business pursuits and proposals efforts is required.\nExperience developing systems and general engineering processes and procedures are a plus.\nExperience developing systems and general engineering processes and procedures are a plus.\nExcellent oral, written and presentation skills for interfacing with senior management and customers as well as mentoring of other engineers.\nMust be able to receive a favorable eligibility determination for access to Secret information.
