You will work with a small design team as the senior engineer, maintaining engineering schedule and generating drawings, supporting spacecraft structure build and supporting special projects dealing with structural products.\nResponsibilities Create product specifications, negotiate design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and manufacturing/test processes based on program requirements.\nAssist in oversight for the integration of subcontracted hardware into spacecraft systems architecture.\nGenerate engineering drawings and models with Creo and other design tools.\nHelp disposition nonconformances and drive process improvements.\nRequired Qualifications U.S. citizen or permanent resident.\nBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related field.\n5 years of experience, including piece part and subassembly modeling in Creo or other CAD software and assembly drawing generation.\nPreferred Qualifications Knowledge of manufacturing processes, additive design, mechanical assembly, electromechanical integration, and flight equipment.\nExperience with Creo, MATLAB/Simulink.\nAbility to assume role as subsystem owner and/or lead multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience evaluating processes for non-value-added steps and continuous improvement opportunities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nGroup project experience and collaboration across disciplines.\nProject management skills.\nDetailed understanding of top-level assembly models, product structure, and BOM definition.\nUnderstanding of design practices for release, redline, and engineering change notice processes.\nComfortable working on interdisciplinary teams and leading meetings with customers, vendors, and management.\nSalary and Benefits Base pay range (California): $104,000.00 – $173,000.00 annually.\nBenefits: paid time off, health and welfare insurance, 401(k) for eligible employees.\nLanteris Space Systems is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
