Performs and is responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical). Develops and implements preventative maintenance and improvement programs. Partners with the Operational Excellence team on lean manufacturing projects and other initiatives. May support or supervise safety and environmental initiatives within the location.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPossesses overall responsibility for maintenance schedules and repairs.\nRecommends, develops, and implements equipment enhancements to improve availability, capability, and yield.\nEvaluates equipment modifications and collects detailed data; analyzes data and reports results. May write equipment maintenance procedures.\nPerforms equipment failure analyses, including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.\nTroubleshoots and diagnoses complex and infrequent equipment problems.\nProcures replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations as needed.\nAssists with in-house design and fabrication of equipment; may obtain quotes, install new equipment, and train colleagues on proper use.\nIncorporates and ensures safety observances are met, including using all PPE by colleagues, ensuring guards and safety features are working, promoting good daily safety practices and habits, etc.\nSets day-to-day operational objectives for the team and ensures that company policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nTypically p ossesses 4-8 years of Supervisory and multi-craft Maintenance experience.\n\nKnowledge and Skills\n\nDemonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nPossesses technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.\nPossesses experience assembling and disassembling equipment.\nDemonstrates ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.\nDemonstrates excellent project management and planning skills.\nDemonstrates ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.\nDisplays excellent leadership skills.\n\n#LI-MK1\n\nAt Greif , we believe that our colleagues are the center of our success.
