The ideal candidate is eager to improve the capability of Navy shipboard embedded training design through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) while developing new technical skills within a team environment. This role is based on-site in Virginia Beach, VA, where you will work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to support systems engineering activities for Naval training system design, development, testing, and fielding.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with engineers to support system architecture, design, and integration efforts\nAssist in the development, refinement, and maintenance of system models using MBSE tools\nParticipate in requirements analysis, system decomposition, and interface definition activities\nContribute to technical documentation and engineering processes\nEngage with team members to support ongoing engineering initiatives and deliverables\nEnsure compliance with all applicable security policies, procedures, and program requirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline\n3+ years of professional experience in software, systems, or related engineering roles\nAbility to work on-site in Virginia Beach, VA\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nMust be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with and/or strong interest in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nFamiliarity with Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML, and/or UML\nExperience with Navy shipboard combat systems and embedded training systems, including but not limited to: Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), Advanced Training Domain (ATD), Aegis combat systems, Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS), and Enhanced Collection System (ECS)\nExperience supporting system architecture model development and maintenance\nExposure to requirements traceability, interface definition, and functional decomposition\nExperience working in defense, naval, or government-focused development environments\nExposure to digital engineering tools such as Confluence, Jira, or similar systems\nCompany Overview\nArorae Corporation (ARO Corp) is a veteran-owned, small business focused on delivering advanced technology solutions and systems engineering services to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
