This individual will provide technical leadership across development activities as well as provide input to certification and verification teams.\n\nLocation: The role can be onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform end-to-end software development activities for embedded aerospace and defense systems from concept to integration.\nCollaborate across systems, hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.\nEnsure compliance of safety-critical software in accordance with DO-178 objectives by supporting certification audits, reviews and data package development.\nDefine, solve and defend technical decisions to stakeholders while guiding technical implementation; including conducting of formal design reviews.\nEnsure efficient and accurate capturing of high-level and low-level requirements.\nAccurate and effective implementation of requirements into design and code.\nSupport development efforts in alignment to developed schedules and quality objectives while interfacing with stakeholders to communicate technical status.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.\n\nStrong experience in embedded software development.\n\nApplicable hands-on 7+ years of experience with real-time embedded systems.\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\no Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTES)\n\no Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)\n\no Safety-critical software development\n\no C/C++ or similar embedded languages\n\no Python and other equivalent scripting languages\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.\n\nStrong communication and technical leadership skills.\n\nU.S. Citizenship is required.
