We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.Our client looking for a BI Data modeler position who will be responsible for documenting several key business areas and concepts through the reverse engineering of models as well as the analysis and creation of key metadata points (definitions, etc). our client is looking for someone with both application and data warehouse database modeling experience.NOTE: WI residency required. Must be WI resident or willing to relocate at your own experience. Mostly remote but can require staff to come onsite as necessary with sufficient notice. Contract: 6+ monthsTasks Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data architecture. Ensure that all relevant aspects of data model (granularity, etc.) are considered. Analyze the logical and physical database models and guarantee models are in accordance with standards. Document and define key metadata around database architecture. Translate technical aspects of data modeling (facts, dimensions, “snowflaking”, etc.) into language that non-technical users can understand. Work with both technologists as well as non-technical users with ease and approachability. Make recommendations on data maintenance tactics for slowly changing dimensions, data roll-off / archival planning, etc. Design models optimized for both storage (warehouse) and query / retrieval (end user marts). Perform analysis and testing of relational databases and investigate any data load failures or data retrieval issues. Assessment of data quality within database architecture.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skillsSkills Required5+ years - Advanced knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling concepts; looking for BOTH APPLICATION and data warehouse database modeling experience5+ years - Experience in ERWIN data modeling software5+ years - Experience in reverse-engineering data structures and metadata development.6+ years - Advanced experience in Oracle PL/SQL5 years - Experience Data analysis5 years - Experience creating and reviewing SQL scripting5 years - Experience with Metadata tools5 years - Experience with Oracle 11g/DB2/SQL Server4 years - Experience with Oracle data dictionary views5 years - Experience with Metadata documentation experience5 years - Experience with data quality assessment and profiling Skills Desired – A Plus To Have Experience with human services Rate depends on experience Candidates authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
