This role is critical to delivering safe, high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective assembly equipment.Reporting to the Seibi Manager, this technician acts as a technical SME supporting Final Assembly Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.What You'll Be DoingReview equipment designs and specifications; identify improvement opportunitiesSupport vendor buyoffs to confirm safety, quality, and productivity before shipmentInstall and commission equipment; verify performance during trialsInvestigate issues, implement modifications, trial, and fine-tune equipmentReduce cost and timing by validating equipment at vendors prior to installationOversee vendor installation and support kanban processesSupport vehicle trials and make productivity and quality improvementsConfirm quality results using secondary verification methods (torque checks, vacuum profiles, etc.)Install, set up, and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley PLCsTrain Maintenance teams on newly installed equipmentShare subject-matter expertise with local NAMC Maintenance and Production teamsRequired Qualifications - What You Bring2+ years PLC programming & troubleshooting experienceToyopuc, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi2+ years experience with:PLC systemsElectrical circuits and industrial controls2-year technical degree or trade school (EET, Industrial Maintenance Tech) or equivalent experienceAbility to read mechanical and electrical drawingsWillingness to travel up to 50% (including international)Physically capable of:Lifting up to 40 lbsStanding, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working at heightsWorking in hot, cold, or confined environmentsComfortable working overtime and long shifts when requiredNice to Have / Bonus Experience2+ years industrial maintenance experienceIndustrial robot programming and teachingAGV / AMR programming and setupSafety scanners and safety PLC programmingIndustrial networks: Ethernet/IP, FLNet, ProfiNetAutomotive manufacturing experience
