The team supports the activities in the plant related to machining and forming processes. This person must be results-oriented and process focused with an approach that is responsive and aligned with company strategies.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nIn this role, you will perform functions including:\nLead day-to-day activities and project progression of multiple Engineers and Technician level Associates.\nMentor and develop direct reports following TMH leadership models and practices.\nProactively identify continuous improvement activities within manufacturing to help our Associates work safely while increasing the quality of our products.\nEngage with stakeholders throughout manufacturing to increase the productivity of operations to deliver Toyota's customer the best value.\nSupport organizational initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations while supporting the community within which we live.\nSupport engineers to improve problem solving and strategic planning skills.\nDevelop a vision and path forward for the area supported by your team, which will allow new technology and automation to increase productivity and capacity to meet future sales forecasts.\nFacilitate lean manufacturing practices within the Toyota Production System to improve material flow and inventory levels to reduce lead-time and improve safety.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Materials/Chemical)\n1-3 years of technical leadership experience\n5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment\nWhat You'll Need for Success:\nHighly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization to advance your goals.\nAbility to show initiative and work within a busy environment with conflicting priorities.\nFlexible work ethic to meet varying workload demands of the position.\nExperience with industrial machining processes and methods including:\nVertical and Horizontal Milling\nLathe turning\nLaser Cutting and Forming (press brake and die)\nNew process development\nProduct safeguarding through robust poka-yoke implementation\nAutomated process development and robotic part tending\nAbility to communicate priorities and execute evolving action plans\nStrong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands-on.\nStrong work ethic, intrinsically motivated, ability to organize work and help maintain timelines on concurrent projects.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.\nCommitment to lifelong learning and process improvement.\nAbility to convey complex information in an understandable format.\nAbility to work in a constant state of
