This role ensures that the physical plant, equipment, and work environment support operational goals while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements. The Director provides strategic leadership, manages departmental staff, and ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nFacility Operations Management\nOversee the planning, operation, and maintenance of all company buildings, grounds, utilities, and infrastructure.\nDevelop and implement short- and long-term facility improvement plans.\nManage space planning, equipment layout, and facility expansion or renovation projects.\nCoordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure high-quality work and cost-effective solutions.\nEnvironmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management\nOversee and Manage the EHS department.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal regulations.\nLead workplace hazard assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.\nDrive a strong safety culture through training, communication, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMaintain required documentation, permits, reporting, and compliance records.\nMaintenance Management\nOversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all equipment, machinery, and facility systems.\nPrioritize maintenance work orders and allocate resources efficiently.\nEnsure proper staffing, training, and development of maintenance technicians.\nManage spare parts inventory and equipment reliability strategies.\nShipping & Receiving Management\nManage daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate handling of materials and finished goods.\nDevelop and maintain procedures for inbound/outbound logistics, material staging, and inventory accuracy.\nWork closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and support production schedules.\nEnsure compliance with DOT and hazardous materials handling regulations.\nHousekeeping & Facility Cleanliness\nOversee janitorial/housekeeping staff and ensure the facility meets cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.\nDevelop cleaning schedules, inspection procedures, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.\nLeadership & Staff Development\nDirect and mentor facility, EHS, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and housekeeping personnel.\nEstablish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and training.\nPromote collaboration across departments and ensure effective communication.\nBudgeting & Resource Management\nDevelop and manage department budgets, including capital expenditures and operating costs.\nTrack and report KPIs related to facility operations, safety, maintenance, and logistics performance.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Occupational Safety, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).\n7–10+ years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, EHS, or operations leadership.\nExperience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or similar environments preferred.\nCertifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, CHMM, or facilities management credentials a plus.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong knowledge of building systems, industrial equipment, and safety regulations.\nExcellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple departments and priorities simultaneously.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nProficiency with CMMS, EHS management software, and MS Office tools.\nWorking Conditions\nMix of office and manufacturing/warehouse environments.\nRegular walking, inspections, and interaction with operations teams.\nOccasional after-hours or weekend responsibilities for emergencies o\nPay: $80,000.00 -
