In this position you will support the development of analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions of mission-driven requirements. Analytic Methodologists will support a dynamic Object-Based Intelligence (OBI) program focused on predictive analytics, structured methodologies, and semantic integration across the defense intelligence mission set. This role involves designing and recommending analytic strategies, developing repeatable workflows, and engineering knowledge models to support anticipatory intelligence across a wide range of national security domains—including emerging technologies, geopolitical trends, military capabilities, and threat networks.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDeconstruct complex and ambiguous intelligence questions to recommend structured analytic methodologies tailored to mission requirements.\nEvaluate and adapt existing analytic models, algorithms, and frameworks to improve objectivity, completeness, and predictive value of intelligence production.\nDesign, develop, and maintain domain-specific ontologies to enable semantic representation of data inputs, facilitating integration of data sources and interoperability with internal and external OMSs.\nDesign, develop, and maintain knowledge graphs leveraging domain-specific ontologies to support advance data querying, data visualization, and integration of intelligence function via OBI standards.\nApply semantic web standards (e.g., RDF, OWL, SPARQL) to knowledge model entities, relationships, and vocabularies in accordance with industry and government data standards.\nEstablish processes for ontology version control, change management, stakeholder and governance review to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with IC and DoD policies and standards.\nCollaborate with team members to enhance semantic data retrieval and reasoning across knowledge graphs through development and optimization of data queries via multiple protocols (e.g., GraphQL, SPARQL, SHACL, SQL).\nCollaborate with team members to validate and refine exploratory efforts to automate ontologies and associated components to ensure semantic accuracy, relevance, and interoperability with existing knowledge modeling and knowledge graph capabilities.\nCollaborate with team members to evaluate effectiveness of exploratory efforts to automate ontology and associated component generation leveraging qualitative and quantitative metrics.\nSupport capability development by contributing, editing, and storing ontologies and knowledge models in Government owned/controlled source version control repositories.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nMust be a US citizen and have an active TS/SCI with CI poly.\n12 years of experience and an advanced degree\nExperience with structured analytic methods and designing repeatable analytic processes.\nFamiliarity with semantic technologies and ontology development tools (e.g., Protégé).\nExcellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to tailor to technical and non-technical audiences.\nPossesses knowledge and experience of advanced analytics and data storage.\nKnowledge of various data science applications and architectures. Experience with Python.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAbility to synthesize abstract concepts into actionable intelligence products.\nExperience applying predictive analytics to strategic intelligence problems across multiple domains.\nDevelops and employs strategies to analyze key issues, draw conclusions from data, and recommend viable solutions to address customer mission needs.\nAbility to lead multi-disciplinary teams to complete complex data science projects.\nExperienced in applying statistical and data visualization skills.\nStrong problem-solving skills to manipulate data and draw insights from large structured and unstructured data sets.\nProven ability to learn and master new software, technologies and techniques.\nExperience in two or more of the following: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Apache Spark, Hadoop, R, C++, SQL Database/Coding, or visualization tools such as Tableau.\n\nPay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings.
