About the RolePerform comprehensive and focused histories and physical exams on patients of all agesOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, EKGs, and imagingFormulate differential diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plansPerform procedures such as - suturing lacerations, incision and drainage, splinting and joint reductions, wound care, and moreCollaborate with supervising physicians and consult specialty services when appropriateDocument all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with departmental policiesProvide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up careWant to learn more?
