We are seeking an Embedded Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working primarily with embedded software, understanding hardware functionality, and performing troubleshooting and testing. You will be responsible for testing both hardware and software components, conducting hands-on tests using various tools, and collaborating with the team to resolve issues. Our client supports the E-Sports, Medical and Defense industries.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nPerform embedded software testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.\r\nConnect devices to testing fixtures and execute tests using encoders, decoders, signal generators, monitors, and other tools.\r\nAnalyze DC power issues, report findings, and collaborate with the team for solutions.\r\nGenerate detailed test reports and documentation.\r\nRework PCBs if issues are discovered during testing, including instructing technicians or electrical engineers on soldering tasks.\r\nOperate multiple automation consoles, set up test equipment, and run scripts while configuring the devices.\r\nCollaborate with the team to ensure seamless testing processes and hardware-software integration.\r\nEssential Skills\r\nProven experience in embedded systems testing and engineering.\r\nStrong video experience, or extensive experience in embedded systems testing.\r\nAbility to analyze PCB boards and high-speed signals, with a basic understanding of hardware schematics.\r\nProficiency in using oscilloscopes.\r\nExperience programming in Python for basic automation and tool configuration.\r\nUnderstanding of software and embedded software testing, including firmware testing.\r\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\r\nExperience in network testing and interfacing with fiber, Ethernet, etc.\r\n3-5+ years of relevant experience.\r\nHands-on hardware testing experience at the board level.\r\nSoldering skills and experience.\r\nFamiliarity with digital analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.\r\nWork Environment\r\nThis position is primarily on-site with some flexibility for remote work. Core hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Outside of these hours, you can manage your schedule as long as you complete an 8-hour workday. The team comprises 3-5 electrical engineers, 3-5 firmware and software engineers, 3 test engineers, and 2 mechanical engineers located on-site, with additional support from an OEM team of 15 people in Taiwan.
