This role will interact with on-site customer representatives and work closely with other departments as needed. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of equipment, operational procedures and relevant standards.\nWork Environment: Factory setting. Safety gear is always required on the manufacturing floor.\nReporting Structure: Reports to the Fabrication Supervisor.\nCNC Operator Level 1 Duties and Responsibilities:\nMonitoring production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nMachine Operation: Operate and monitor CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, and taping.\nBlueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and CAD drawings to understand specifications and requirements for production.\nAbility to follow a PMCS (Checklist.) Including Lubrication Levels, Tooling, Cleanliness.\nInspect all material: Raw & finished material for any damage before starting equipment.\nAbility to monitor equipment such as Tooling, Hole diameters, Shifts in program, & depth.\nCollaborating with other departments to establish quality assurance standards and objectives.\nEnsuring products meet customer expectations and specifications.\nAdditional tasks may be required by Operations Management.\nAbility to read and use dial calipers & micromotors to check tolerances provided by our customer.\nWorks to maintain a strong relationship with functional support groups to ensure all activity is compliant and conforms to Customer Guidelines including detailed reports on all parts in relation to each project.\nPerforms escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material.\nUtilizing various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, checks dimensions/processes on parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints/specifications.\nAbility to follow chain of command.\nWork Hours & Benefits:\n· Monday – Friday, Second Shift, 2:30PM - 11:00PM\n· Family orientated culture.\n· 401(k) plan\n· Comprehensive health insurance\n· Dental and vision insurance\n· Retirement plan\n· Paid time off\n· Opportunities for professional development\nCNC Operator Level 1 Qualifications / Skills:\nAbility to stand, walk, and bend for many hours\nProven experience as a CNC operator or relevant role\nThorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies\nExperience in reporting on key metrics\nExcellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods\nOutstanding communication skills\nGreat attention to detail and a results-driven approach\nMust be able to work from blueprints for visual dimensional inspection of purchased or manufactured products utilizing measuring instruments\nTechnical Skills: Strong understanding of CNC machinery, programming, and machining processes.
