This role will lead the implementation of PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and industrial networking solutions utilizing Siemens, Emerson, ABB, and Allen-Bradley (et al) platforms. The engineer will work closely with customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable, safe, and compliant automation solutions.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nControl Panel Design\nDesign industrial control panels in accordance with UL 508A, UL698A, NEC and applicable customer standards.\nCreate and maintain panel layouts, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials using Solidworks, Draftsight, EPLAN, ERP or similar software.\nSpecify and select components including:\nPLCs\nHMIs\nVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)\nMotor starters\nSafety relays\nI/O devices\nIndustrial networking equipment\nPLC & HMI Programming\nDevelop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs utilizing:\nSiemens S7-1200, S7-1500, ET200 platforms (TIA Portal)\nAllen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix (Studio 5000 / RSLogix)\nEmerson PACSystems and process automation platforms\nABB AC500 and distributed control technologies\nPromote safety, continuous improvement, and LEAN problem-solving practices.\nDevelop HMI and SCADA applications using:\nSiemens WinCC\nRockwell FactoryTalk View\nEmerson Operator Interface Solutions\nABB Automation Builder and visualization platforms\nImplement process control strategies including PID loops, sequencing, interlocks, alarming, and safety functions.\nIndustrial Networking and Integration\nConfigure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including:\nEthernet/IP\nProfinet\nModbus TCP/IP\nModbus RTU\nProfibus\nOPC UA\nIntegrate PLCs with:\nSCADA systems\nMES systems\nThird-party automation equipment\nTesting and Commissioning\nPerform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).\nLead startup and commissioning activities at customer facilities.\nTroubleshoot electrical and automation systems during installation and production startup.\nValidate system performance against customer specifications and design requirements.\nDevelop test procedures and commissioning documentation.\n\nQualifications\n\nQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience may be considered\n3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering\nHands-on programming and troubleshooting multiple platforms of PLCs.\nHMI/SCADA Development\nCAD experience, such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.\nTroubleshooting of electrical and automation systems.\nElectrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures\n\nPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:\nUL 508A control panel design experience\n\nAdditional Information\n\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
