The ideal candidate must possess a solid working knowledge of network routing protocols, including EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF, along with familiarity with cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist in the design and independently configure and deploy network solutions, supporting optimal performance, reliability, and security.\nConfigure and troubleshoot network routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) to support efficient data flow and connectivity.\nSupport and maintain cloud network configurations, helping integrate on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services. (AWS, Azure, GCP)\nImplement and support SD-WAN solutions to enhance network efficiency and flexibility.\nCollaborate with the security team to implement network security measures and protocols in accordance with applicable Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and DoD guidance.\nUtilize network monitoring tools to monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and support traffic optimization. (SolarWinds, SD-WAN controllers)\nMaintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting for network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.\nCollaborate with and share knowledge across the network engineering team.\nCoordinate with network hardware and software vendors for technical support and to assist in evaluating new technologies.\nTravel may be required for special projects. (CONUS, OCONUS)\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.\nMay be substituted by an associate’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience. Certifications such as CCNP or equivalent are desirable.\n3+ years of experience in network engineering, with exposure to enterprise network operations and implementation.\nExperience with SD-WAN technologies and solutions is a plus.\nDoD IAT Level II Certification is required.\nRelevant network certifications such as CCNA (CCNP a plus), AWS Certified Networking, or equivalent are preferred.\nTS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nWorking knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).\nSolid understanding of network security principles and best practices.\nKnowledge of HAIPE technologies (TACLANES) and how to identify and troubleshoot associated issues is a plus.\nHands-on experience with network monitoring and performance tools.\nExcellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nHow you’ll grow\nAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
