BendTec, LLC takes pride in our quality of work and has a goal of building our workforce with the most talented employees. You’ll have an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects on a national and global scale. We can meet you at any skill level, whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience under your belt.\nBlasters are responsible to accomplish assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Reports primarily to the Plant Manager, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Blasting employees may be assigned to any of the following job functions:\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nMaterial Handling: Rigging, loading, unloading, stabilizing and transporting material.\nSurface Preparation: Using steel grit to clean the pipe for QC checks, create a blast profile that is acceptable for surface coating (adhering to SSPC or NACE specifications).\nConduct daily equipment checks (blotter tests, oil checks).\nBlast booth general maintenance (lighting, grit cleanouts, floor cleanup).\nConduct work assigned in a safe and efficient manner.\nProduce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements.\nInspect quality of product as processed through assigned operation.\nMaintain work area housekeeping.\nRecord all required documentation thoroughly and accurately.\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED:\nEducation: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred\nExperience: None specifically required – Trained on Site!\nComputer Skills: None specifically required\nCertifications & Licenses: None specifically required.\nOther Requirements: Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions); must be able to be on feet for full shift; lift up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling objects up to 100 pounds; must be able to wear supplied blasting helmet for long periods of time; must be able to hold back blast hose during blasting (similar to holding back a fire hose).\nWHAT WE OFFER:\nThis is a Union position which offers a competitive compensation package including employer paid premium health and dental benefits\nMultiple shifts to choose from\nPaid vacation, retirement funding and holiday time\nCareer growth opportunities through hands-on training and mentorships\nWork alongside industry leaders and mentors\nCoaching from experienced leaders who are dedicated to helping you grow and reach your full potential.\nOpportunities to take on new challenges and responsibilities that will stretch your abilities and expand your horizons.\nA supportive and collaborative work environment where you are encouraged to share your ideas and contribute to our shared goals.\nWHO WE ARE:\nWith over 100 years of experience, BendTec, LLC is a leading advanced manufacturing services provider for those focused on building the future.
