Performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, unit operations start up’s, shutdowns, and emergency coordination.Supervises multiple employees, participates in hiring/firing, conducts performance management, develops junior employeesEnsure team is trained for proper operation of the unitsEnsures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holds employees accountable.Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have accountability for compliance standards.Works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalentResponsible for maintaining a clean work environment.Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and required needs of the Clean Harbors businessQualificationsWhat does it take to work for Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company?High School diploma or equivalent3+ years Supervisory, Foreman or Management experience managing teams in an Industrial/Plant environment preferredRefinery experience or Oil and Gas experience is a plus!Knowledge of rotating equipment, distillation, hydrotreating processesForklift experienceCommunicate effectively with all levels of the organization, written and verballyLeader with integrity who leads by exampleComputer proficiencyMS Office Suite – Excel, Word and OutlookAbility to work a rotating shift (nights and days)Must have the ability to be trained as an emergency coordinatorSafety-Kleen Systems, a Clean Harbors company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
