We are seeking qualified candidates who are self-driven, looking to advance their career and become a high-impact player on a team.\n\nAbout the Role:\nAs part of the Product Development team, the Mechanical Engineer will work both independently and within cross‑functional teams to support new process and product development as well as continuous product improvement. This hands‑on role collaborates closely with global teams across the company— including US R&D, Operations, Taiwan R&D, Quality, and production facilities in China— and serves as a key link between U.S. technology development and mass production in Asia.\n\nResponsibilities\nModule Integration for new products (50%)\n\nDefine design rules and integration processes for new module platforms in collaboration with teams in China and Taiwan\n\nDevelop reference designs, support material selection and qualification, and establish process parameters to ensure performance requirements are met\n\nAct as liaison between U.S. R&D and Asia production teams; lead regular technical meetings\n\nTravel to Asia up to 25% annually\n\nServe as technical lead for the display module fabrication lab, including staff training, vendor engagement, and qualification of new tools and processes\n\nDevelop and maintain SOPs for equipment and processes\n\nTroubleshoot downstream processes and support transfer of new requirements to enable improved test devices\n\nModule Advancement & Continuous Improvement (50%)\n\nServe as technical lead for the display module fabrication lab, including staff training, vendor engagement, and qualification of new tools and processes\n\nDevelop and maintain SOPs for equipment and processes\n\nTroubleshoot downstream processes and support transfer of new requirements to enable improved test devices\n\nQualifications\n\nBS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3-5 years of experience OR MS/Ph.D. with 0-3 years\n\nMandarin Chinese is a strong preference\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills\n\nPreferences\n\nKnowledge of electronics and clean‑room assembly processes (lamination, autoclaving, edge sealing)\n\nFamiliarity with Six Sigma tools (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, DOE, simulations, statistical analysis)\n\nExperience with COMSOL Multiphysics\n\nExperience with external development teams and contract manufacturers\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive total compensation package\n\nMedical, dental and vision on the first day\n\nCompany 401K match\n\n20 PTO days\n\nSick time\n\nCasual day‑to‑day work environment\n\nHybrid/flexible work environment (for some positions)\n\nE Ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
