{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"2a3ba47ffd62cacecc567c05","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2a3ba47ffd62cacecc567c05","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/2a3ba47ffd62cacecc567c05","title":"Project Engineer","description":"Description\n\nThe primary function of the Project Engineer is to assist the project team in the administration and management of many of the activities, which are associated with the construction project.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThe duties, responsibilities and attributes of the Project Engineer typically include, but are not limited to:\n\nTechnical Skills\nAssist with job office set up\nPrepare the initial set up of CMiC, i.e. Submittal Log Registry, RFI numbering system, etc.\nPrepare and maintain Submittal Logs\nAssist the project team with the initial set up of PlanGrid to organize the contract documents for the teams use\nManage, set up, and oversee progress photo documentation via utilizing PlanGrid\nPrepare and maintain RFI Logs in CMiC\nPost RFI’s and maintain the accuracy of the projects as-builts within a timely manner\nManage and maintain the Material Procurement Log\nInteract with Field Superintendent(s), Field Foreman, Subcontractor Project Managers, and Material Suppliers / Vendors to ensure timely material deliveries to the site\nOversee the contract close out process (O&M manuals, As-Builts, etc.)\nCreate and organize all closeout binders\nAttend project meetings and assist in the preparation / distribution of meeting minutes\nAttend and participate in WEO Quarterly Risk Management (QRM) Trainings\nParticipate in WEO networking events\nParticipate in all PE trainings, including PE Boot Camps and PE Round Tables\nManagement Skills\nAssist the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in obtaining costs from subcontractors for any extra work performed on the project\nLog costs properly in CMiC, so the Subcontractor Tracking Log may be utilized\nAssist or manage documenting, tracking and maintaining PCI Ticket Log\nEnsure the timely delivery to the jobsite of all project equipment and materials (procurement)\nCoordinate with the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on the date subcontracts must be awarded by to maintain the desired material on-site dates, per the P6 schedule\nManage the entire submittal process with the subcontractors and design team\nEnsure that the project team is aware of the storage location of all approved Submittals\nCreate and maintain a document log, which tracks every drawing issuance from the design team\nAssist with the distribution of overall project schedules and 8-week look ahead schedules\nFind conflicts in the contract documents and issue a “Request for Information” (RFI) to the appropriate party / parties\nFind practical solutions to field problems or conflicts found in the contract documents prior to issuing RFI’s\nTrack outstanding RFIs and expedite return responses to all subcontractors. Elevate critical issues to the APM / PM in a timely manner\nAs required by the specific project conditions, assist the Project Superintendent(s) in providing safety orientation to all field workers prior to their start of work on site\nAs required by the specific project conditions, assist the Project Superintendent(s) with generating and issuing incident reports\nCollect all Injury and Illness Prevention Plans (IIPP) from all subcontractors\nCollect all Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) plans from subcontractors as needed\nCollect Safety Submittals from subcontractors - IIPP, JHA, SDS\nAs required by the specific project conditions, assist in creating the first draft of the projects Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP)\nWork with the Project Superintendent(s) to schedule all pre-installation meetings\nAttend weekly Building Information Modeling (BIM) meetings and assist in the development of a coordinated model between the MEPF trades\nDocument and take meeting minutes for weekly BIM coordination meetings\nDesign project required mock-ups and play a pivotal role in the management of all project required mock- ups\nDevelop an Owner training schedule which shows when all applicable subcontractors will provide training to the Owner\nVideo record and formally transmit all trainings to the Owner as part of our close out package\nManage the punchlist process with the project(s) assigned Project Superintendent(s)\nFollow up and document punch list work status\nParticipate in initial and / or acceptance walks with the Architect / Owner, as needed\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\n\nPersonal Attributes\nEffective written and verbal language communication skills\nTakes initiative, strives for increased responsibility and has a desire to learn\nShows emotional maturity, punctuality and dependability\nMotivate and contribute to the teamwork / morale of the project team\nShows the desire and willingness to progress to the Senior Project Engineer role and responsibilities\nInterpersonal Skills\nEstablish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all (client, design professionals, various WEO departments, WEO project team, inspectors, and subcontractors)\nShow alignment with and promotes WEO Corporate Values\nQualifications\nFour-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field.\nProficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Basic understanding of scheduling and CMiC applications.\n\nUnderstanding of basic construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals and material procurement.\nEffective oral and written communication skills\nUnderstanding of basic daily software tools, such as Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Safety Mojo, BIM 360 Glue, etc.\nBasic time management and organization skills\nCompletion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course\nFirst Aid and CPR certified\n\nBenefits\n\n100% ESOP\nCompetitive Pay\nBonus Program\nMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance\nPTO/Sick\n100% Life Insurance\n401(K) with Match\nStudent Debt Program\nPhysical Demands:\nPerformance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
