Our client, a well-established hospitality organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys month-end close, cash management, financial reporting, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.Salary/Hourly Rate$90k Annually (approximately $40/hr during the temporary period)Position OverviewAs a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily financial operations of the organization. You'll be responsible for month-end close activities, account reconciliations, cash flow analysis, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit support. This position offers strong exposure to multiple business entities and the opportunity to work alongside leadership in a dynamic hospitality environment.Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant Lead and support monthly accounting close processes and financial reporting activities. Prepare monthly account reconciliations, workpapers, and supporting schedules. Monitor daily cash positions across multiple entities and perform cash flow analysis. Process ACH payments and wire transfers through banking platforms. Develop and maintain cash forecasts for multiple business units. Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Support external audits by preparing schedules and gathering required documentation. Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for leadership review. Help improve accounting processes and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: 3 - 6 years of accounting experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role. Strong experience with month-end close processes and account reconciliations. Experience preparing journal entries and financial reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of cash management and cash flow forecasting.Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: Hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or multi-entity accounting experience. Knowledge of US GAAP. Experience supporting external audits.
