The Quality Assurance Department aims to stop wasteful production of poor quality parts and helps ensure that customers do not receive malfunctioning products. The technician works on a variety of parts and products in all phases of production, tests and inspects products and parts in a manufacturing environment to ensure the quality of the product. Validates quality processes by assisting in establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new products and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.Benefits For Our Team MembersWe offer a friendly and fun environment, with the opportunity to grow within the company. Routine verification includes testing or replacing thermocouples, gages, and repairing hand tool if possible, in-houseEnsure parts meet specifications, using measuring equipment such as calipersPerform visual inspection of parts and products for using microscopes and magnification lightsUse test equipment to determine if a part functions properly and meets customer specifications.Knowledge and understanding of the MRP system and how to generate purchase requisitionsAssist with ISO9001 QMS documentation and compliance to the International Standard, writing, editing, obsoleting documents as necessaryAssist in Internal AuditsAssist with new product launch, working with the program manager to assist with documenting process and test proceduresResponsible for the release of controlled documentation to the internal staff via internal websiteSupport Manufacturing, Customer Service and Sales with the processing of RMA’s, MRB’s and NCR’sCollect, review and evaluate employees’ training records for adherence to ISO StandardsRecord information from inspections, which may be used to determine sampling quantities on future inspectionsMay be called upon to inspect materials and parts from the supplier to ensure compliance with specificationsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications And Requirements High school diploma, GED, and two (2) years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and education. Must be authorized to work and reside in the US and must be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government to confirm with but not limited to U.S export control regulations (ITAR), but not limited to U.S export (ITAR) guidelines.
