Driver & Yard Attendant

Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver & Yard Attendant to join our team at our Lake Placid, FL location. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations across the dealership’s outdoor areas while supporting the Sales, Service, and Consignment departments. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable working outdoors, and experienced with trailering, moving, and handling boats. Key Responsibilities Driving & Transportation Support Operate company vehicles to transport boats, trailers, and equipment both on-site and to off-site locations as needed Assist with coordinating boat transportation in support of Sales, Service, and Consignment operations Boat Handling & Yard Operations Safely launch, load, move, and store boats throughout the dealership yard Assist service technicians by positioning boats and equipment for repairs and maintenance Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and trailers in a safe and responsible manner Yard & Facility Maintenance Maintain organization and cleanliness of the storage yard, walkways, and parking areas Perform routine yard upkeep, including debris removal, sweeping, and general appearance maintenance Assist with verifying inventory serial numbers for major units on-site Customer Assistance Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers with boat loading and unloading Answer basic questions and direct customers to the appropriate department as needed Safety & Team Collaboration Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees and customers Work collaboratively with dealership staff to support efficient operations and strong customer service Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned by management This job description is not intended to cover all duties associated with the position Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Prior experience trailering and transporting boats preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and performing demanding tasks Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with boat handling is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work weekends and as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
