This role combines technical expertise with leadership and organizational oversight to ensure compliance, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the maintenance department.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and schedule maintenance activities to ensure efficiency and cost controlCoordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtimeCommunicate daily with the Maintenance Manager and team to prioritize workLead, train, and coach maintenance staff to ensure safety and quality standards are metMaintain accurate records including maintenance logs, service records, and equipment manualsEnsure proper inventory control and order materials for timely completion of repairsOversee housekeeping and organization within maintenance areasSupport the development and implementation of maintenance process improvementsConduct routine inspections to ensure all plant equipment operates safelyParticipate in safety meetings and model teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvementPerform general mechanical and preventative maintenance as neededEnsure all scheduled inspections, including crane inspections, are completed on timePerform other duties as assignedRequirements5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory roleExperience in concrete or heavy industrial environments preferredMust have a reliable and consistent attendance recordMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screeningMust be available to work Saturdays when requiredCompletion of all ATMI Indy Safety Training Programs including Lock-Out Tag-Out, Working from Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, and Manlift OperationAbility to prioritize and complete repairs safely and efficientlyStrong understanding of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and troubleshootingExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office SuiteEnvironment And Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and move up to 75 lbsMust be able to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated equipmentMust be able to walk long distances within an industrial plantOccasional outdoor work in heat, cold, humidity, and dusty condition Examples of Equipment to MaintainOttawa Yard Tractors Batch PlantForklift Man LiftReady-mix trucksGantry and Overhead Cranes Miscellaneous small engines
