If you're passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a dynamic team, explore CU SoCal career opportunities today!\nRequirements Minimum Qualifications 8+ years hands-on system administration/engineering (not help desk).\nExperience with designing and implementing Azure cloud services such as Entra, Purview, InTune, Defender, and other Azure components or their equivalents at AWS.\nIn-depth knowledge of a hybrid cloud environment where on-premises servers are integrated with and support the operations of PaaS and SaaS services.\nWhile this role is not a hands‑on administrator of networking equipment and firewalls, a thorough understanding of OSI layers 3-7 is required for effective troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of and keeping up with evolving technologies such as AI based solutions and how they can be integrated into user activity, including automation and improving productivity.\nPrior experience in a credit union is a plus, but any regulated industry is acceptable (Financial Institutions / Healthcare / public companies that are subject to SOX and PCI, etc.).\nAbility to work in a production environment under demanding circumstances and apply existing skills, knowledge, and techniques to new circumstances delivering high-quality work within agreed-upon deadlines.\nMust have strong communication skills with an ability to simplify complex technical details for a general audience.\nPreferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.\nUnderstanding of and experience in designing and implementing cloud environments such as Azure and AWS (preferred). GCP is also acceptable.\nSkills and Abilities Experience in multi-dc environments of over 200 Windows servers as a principal hands‑on engineer. While this is primarily a Windows‑based role, understanding and experience with Linux and UNIX machines based on RedHat and AIX would be considered a plus.\nVMWare Administration, including virtualized storage and multi-site recovery.\nAdvanced hands‑on security administration of roles and permissions in both on premises and cloud environments.\nCloud technologies – VPCs, servers, network routing and access controls, availability zones, cloud load balancing, particularly centered around Azure.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to creation of excellent technical documentation in SharePoint, OneNote, OneDrive.\nUnderstanding of project management methodology using tools such as MS Project/Planner and similar solutions.\nIn-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, virtualization, application protocols, group policy and active directory design, configuration and troubleshooting, advanced scripting language skills for automation (Windows PowerShell).\nManagement of assigned remediation findings, research and recommend information security enhancements including hardware, software, and design improvements.\nSupport and maintain the Windows server environment and network/desktop applications. Perform daily, weekly, monthly duties and procedures as related to system administration including Windows updates and 3rd party application patching.
