Home Automation Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, home automation, and troubleshooting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair automated machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in automation systems
- Program and configure distributed control systems
- Utilize precision measuring instruments for calibration and testing
- Fabricate parts and components as needed for automation systems
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement automation solutions
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment efficiency and safety
Experience
- Previous experience as anhome automation tech or similar role
- Proficiency in using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and hydraulics
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for reading schematics and blueprints
- Strong customer service skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors
- Experience working with distributed control systems is a plus
