As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, including diesel trucks, hydraulic systems, brakes, and axles. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to diagnose and repair equipment issues, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanicStrong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and braking systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsExcellent problem-solving and diagnostic skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and loadersExperience working with computerized diagnostic equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsResponsibilities:Performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake adjustmentsDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues with heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and braking systemsMaintaining accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on heavy equipmentWorking closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficientlyMaintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and storedSkills:As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will use your strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and braking systems to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with heavy equipment.
