Felix Construction is looking for a hands‑on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, organization, and operational readiness of our buildings, shops, yard, and office spaces.\n\nThis is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring our mechanics, fabrication teams, field crews, and office staff have a safe, clean, and efficient work environment every day.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nAs the Facilities Manager, you'll take ownership of our facilities and grounds, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and resolving issues before they impact operations.\n\nResponsibilities Include:\n\nManage the daily upkeep of all company facilities, including:\n\nMechanics shop\n\nWarehouse\n\nPanel shop\n\nFabrication areas\n\nEquipment yard\n\nAdministrative offices\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, overhead doors, cranes/hoists, security systems, and access controls\n\nDevelop and manage preventive maintenance programs\n\nRespond quickly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies\n\nPerform light hands‑on maintenance such as painting, patching, hardware installation, and basic repairs\n\nCoordinate facility vendors and contractors including janitorial, landscaping, fire protection, security, and trade partners\n\nManage service contracts, bids, invoices, and work orders\n\nMaintain clean, organized workspaces using 5S principles\n\nSupport facility layout improvements, storage optimization, and workplace safety initiatives\n\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, SDS requirements, and PPE standards\n\nDocument completed work with photos, notes, and records\n\nWho You Are\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n5+ years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or similar experience\n\nExperience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers\n\nFamiliarity with CMMS or work order management systems\n\nAbility to read drawings, measurements, and use a tape measure and level\n\nExperience with painting, patching, hardware installation, and hand/power tools\n\nOSHA-30 Certification\n\nValid driver's license with a clean driving record\n\nBasic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills\n\nPreferred:\n\nBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Facilities Management, Technical Field, or related area\n\nBilingual English/Spanish\n\nExperience supporting industrial, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demands:\nThis position requires working at a local office campus including an office, mechanic shop, warehouse and fabrication shop. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and may occasionally use hand tools associated with facilities management. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust and focus.
