As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll own the basic process design of unit operations and the deliverables that drive projects forward, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with project teams, vendors, and clients to get it right.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nDevelop the documented design basis, process descriptions, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, and material selection diagrams that define each project.\n\nBuild process simulation models in Aspen HYSYS and develop heat and material balances.\n\nPerform hydraulic calculations and produce equipment sizing data sheets for compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, columns, separators, reactors, and more.\n\nDesign and size safety relief devices that protect personnel, equipment, and the process.\n\nInterface directly with clients and provide field support throughout project execution.\n\nDeliver work that meets quality standards and applicable codes — on schedule and within budgeted hours.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring (Required)\n\nBachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries.\n\nHands‑on experience designing process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors).\n\nProcess simulation experience with Aspen HYSYS and hydraulic analysis tools (e.g., AFT Fathom/Arrow, Visual Flare).\n\nExperience with PSV sizing and safety relief device design, with a strong understanding of underlying process fundamentals and relief system behavior.\n\nStrong Microsoft Office skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to work in teams and present a positive image to clients.\n\nDetail‑oriented with a commitment to quality and timely delivery.\n\nNice to Have (Preferred)\n\nEIT certification.\n\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nPeriodic travel for client and project site visits as required.\n\nWork performed in a combination of office and active project‑site environments; field assignments may involve walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs and ladders.\n\nPPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hi‑vis vest, steel‑toed boots) provided and required on site.\n\n$110,000 - $160,000 a year\n\nCompensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, skill set, certifications, work location, and market conditions.
