ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTOR

QUALIFICATIONS:Massachusetts Teachers licensure as an Electrical Instructor by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. A high school diploma or the equivalent. Five (5) years of full-time employment experience directly related to electricity. Possession of current Massachusetts Journeyman and Master Electrician licenses.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Implement and periodically update a course of study based upon Massachusetts Vocational/Technical Education Curriculum Frameworks.2.Maintain all records necessary for reporting student grades, performance, and the documentation of student achievement.3.Prepare lesson plans at least two weeks in advance.4.Establish and enforce a disciplinary code consistent with the student handbook which reinforces a professional atmosphere for the industry, as well as a safe learning environment.5.Prepare and/or assist in the development of a departmental budget.6.Maintain and update a department inventory.7.Utilize assessment data to drive instruction to support learning, state testing, mid-year exams, and final exams.8.Responsible for meeting all administrative deadlines.9.Maintain the condition of all classroom/shop facilities.10.Supports efforts outlined in the School Improvement Plan.11.Perform all duties and functions as deemed necessary by the Superintendent, Administration, and his/her designee.SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS:10 Month PositionAccording to Teacher Salary Schedule (depends on experience, licensure, degree, credits the range is from $64,472 - $118,996 )
