Trissential is hiring a Technology System / Platform Engineer to join our client’s team supporting a granular electrical load forecasting platform a strategic initiative shaping how energy demand is forecasted at the feeder and circuit level.\nThis is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly supports data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders across a complex enterprise environment.\n\nWhat’s in It for You?\nHigh-Impact Work – Support a mission-critical forecasting platform used across the energy organization\nDatabricks-Centric Engineering – Design and maintain pipelines in a modern analytics platform\nCross-Functional Exposure – Partner with data science, IT, analytics, and non-technical teams\nStable Industry – Work within the energy and utilities sector on long-term internal tooling\nFlexible Hybrid Model – Typically onsite just one day per week in Colorado\nYour Role & Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and workflows within Databricks\nIntegrate forecast inputs from multiple internal data providers and teams\nEnsure reliable, secure, and scalable data flows across development, test, and production environments\nSupport ingestion of non-standard and legacy data sources, including cleanup and standardization\nManage code deployment using Git and DBX asset bundles\nCollaborate with platform engineering teams on data governance, security, and compliance\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring across cloud and hybrid environments\nTroubleshoot platform and data pipeline issues across dev/test/QA/prod\nAct as a technical liaison between IT, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders\nSkills & Experience You Should Possess\nStrong, hands-on experience with Databricks (core requirement)\nExperience building and supporting ETL pipelines and workflows\nProficiency in Python and SQL\nExperience integrating data from multiple teams or business domains\nSolid understanding of enterprise security, scalability, and performance considerations\nClear and effective communication skills, including working with non-technical stakeholders\nBonus Points If You Have\nDatabricks certification\nEnergy, utilities, or power industry experience\nExperience supporting non-standard or legacy data ingestion\nFamiliarity with enterprise integration platforms, APIs, or middleware\nExposure to SAP IS-U, data conversion, or large-scale data migration efforts\nEducation & Certifications You Need\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience\nDatabricks certification is a strong plus, but not required\nWhat We Offer\nAt Trissential, we connect top engineering talent with impactful client opportunities—while ensuring flexibility, support, and competitive compensation.\nCompetitive Compensation – $59–$69 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and location.
