Today, the company is focusing on carbon reductions, not offsets, as it works toward achieving its verified science-based targets by 2030 and its goal to become a carbon negative enterprise by 2040.\nPosition summary:\nThe Kyle QA Laboratory Technician is responsible for daily production testing and Quality Assurance functions related to finishing processes at the Kyle 1 and Kyle 2 manufacturing facilities.\n\nEducational requirements:\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required\n\nSkills and experience:\nThree or more years manufacturing or testing lab experience preferred.\nWorking knowledge of: AS/400, MESr, and the general understanding of PC operating environment.\nProficient with Microsoft Word and Excel\nMust have normal color perception and average or above average color discernment.\nMust be able to maintain an active workload with minimal supervision.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAttention to detail: (Analytical skills, Observational skills, and Active listening skills)\nGeneral understanding of ISO requirements of job\nAbility to conduct intensive testing requiring multiple steps and accurate record keeping.\nWorking knowledge of Quality Assurance test procedures of Kyle QA Lab, and a strong understanding of Kyle , Kyle II and RCA processes a plus\n\nEssential duties:\nComplete product testing using an Instron, APA, calipers, environmental chamber, thickness gauge, balance, tape measures, ruler, and additional lab equipment as prescribed.\nAccurately document and timely complete of Kyle QA Lab production testing functions\nCommunicate quality concerns to proper Manufacturing and Quality Management\nComplete Fabric Adoption, Custom and Re-mastering duties\nMaintain accurate record keeping and record archiving\nMaintain Kyle QA Lab and general facility housekeeping standards\nComplete Special Requests from internal and external sources as required\nAssist in covering interdepartmental vacation and absences as needed, will require overtime\nBe knowledgeable of MSDS of chemicals and mixtures handled in the lab\nMaintain carpet master cabinets, retain storage and master retain storage areas\nPerform QA audits on Tufting Processes at Kyle II\nComply with all departmental and plant wide safety rules\nComply with all applicable environmental regulations\nComply with all departmental and plant wide ISO requirements—9001 and 14001\nUnderstand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nPhysical demands:\nLifting up to lift 50lbs\nWearing PPE as required\n\nWork environment:\nClimate controlled laboratory\nNon-climate controlled manufacturing environment as needed\n#LI-AS1\n#On-Site\nWe are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
