This role centers on photography, videography, and podcast production support. Working in close coordination with the Communications Manager and the Events team, the Coordinator ensures that the Center's programming is captured with professional quality and presented in a manner consistent with its standards of intellectual seriousness, credibility, and nonpartisan mission.\nResponsibilities Photography & Media Management\nPhotograph public events, conferences, and select student programs and staff events, capturing key moments and notable participants\nOperate and maintain proficiency with the Center's digital camera equipment\nEdit and color-correct images for publication using Adobe Lightroom and related Adobe Creative Suite software\nPublish curated event albums to Flickr and Instagram, writing captions drawn from event descriptions and speaker highlights\nVideography & Multimedia\nPlan, record, and edit video content for Center events, programs, and promotional campaigns\nCapture event soundbites, recordings, and short-form clips for use in social media and promotional materials\nProduce reels, highlight clips, and other multimedia assets optimized for each platform\nMaintain organized video files and a media archive for editing, repurposing, and long-term reference\nPodcast Production Support\nSupport the production workflow for a new Clements Center podcast project\nAssist with recording, editing, publishing coordination, and promotion\nMaintain consistency with Center branding across all podcast materials\nSocial Media/Website Support\nAssist the Communications Manager with content for the Center's social media accounts, including organizing photo and video assets, drafting captions, and scheduling posts as directed\nAssist the Communications Manager with updating the Center's website\nEvent Support & Recaps\nAssist with event recaps and the production of post-event promotional content\nAssist with event setup as needed in coordination with the Events team\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in communications, journalism, film/media production, marketing, graphic design, or a related field, and at least 3 years of professional or comparable experience in photography, videography, multimedia production, or audio/podcast production\nDemonstrated proficiency in photography and videography, including capturing and editing images and video for publication\nProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition) or comparable photo, video, and audio editing tools\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently and as part of a team\nAbility to handle confidential and sensitive communications with discretion, and to represent the Center publicly with\nRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.\nPreferred Qualifications Experience in higher education communications\nExperience with audio production, sound recording, or podcast production and editing\nSalary Range $52,000 + depending on qualifications\nWorking Conditions May work around standard office conditions.\nRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation\nUse of camera, audio, and video equipment, including transporting and setting up gear at event locations\nMay work evenings or weekends as necessary to cover public programming\nWork Shift May occasionally be requested to work evenings or weekends to support public programming and time-sensitive projects.\nEqual Opportunity Employer The University of Texas at Austin, as an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination and affirmative action.
