{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"299743d3d7efb979f7d3ef6a","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/299743d3d7efb979f7d3ef6a","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/299743d3d7efb979f7d3ef6a","title":"Issue Resolution Engineer","description":"On-Site role\nJob Description:\nAt Client, we are reimagining personal transportation from the ground up.\nAs a Plant Issue Resolution Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and build readiness of our autonomous vehicles during manufacturing.\nYou will operate at the intersection of engineering and production, driving rapid containment and resolution of issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line validation.\nThis role requires strong technical depth, urgency in execution, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to root cause and implement durable corrective actions.\nYou will partner closely with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Operations to ensure vehicles meet Client’s quality standards and production targets. Your work will directly impact vehicle readiness, production efficiency, and overall fleet reliability.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead triage, containment, and resolution plan of issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing across door systems, latches, actuators, sealing, access panels, glazing, and body structures.\nDefine and execute short-term containment actions, including rework plans, part quarantine, and build flow protection.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to lead root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, identify and prioritize blockers, and drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements.\nSupport cross-functional teams to implement permanent corrective actions (PCA) and prevent recurrence.\nSupport prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes to validate fixes and improve manufacturability.\nDevelop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track issue health, closure rates, and recurrence and improve PIRT processes, including issue tracking, prioritization, and cross-functional execution.\nQualifications:\nB.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.\n6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or other complex hardware systems within manufacturing, product engineering, or sustaining environments.\nStrong understanding of vehicle across door systems, latches, actuators, sealing, access panels, glazing, and body structures.\nProven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production, manufacturing, or field environments, including new product launch support.\nStrong cross functional communication and problem solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), production process optimization, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or EV systems.\nFamiliarity with tools such as 3DX (Dassault), DELMIA, SAP ME/MII, JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Python, or data visualization tools.\nAbout us:\nAt our organization, we take our mission and values to heart!
